Although the exact reasons for his sidelining have not been revealed yet
Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against England, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed.
Bumrah, who was initially part of the squad for the series, will not feature in the matches, although the exact reasons for his sidelining have not been revealed yet.
In Bumrah's absence, the Men’s Selection Committee has called up spinner Varun Chakravarthy to join India's squad. Chakravarthy impressed in the recently concluded five-match T20I series against England, picking up 14 wickets, including a brilliant five-wicket haul in Rajkot. He was named Player of the Series for his exceptional performance.
The first ODI of the series will take place on Thursday, February 6, at Jamtha.
