England stood tall against Pakistan bowlers and scored massive 657 runs in the first innings of the first Test at Rawalpindi cricket stadium.

Four English batters went on to score centuries as the visitor registered record 500 runs on the opening day of the Test match.

Former England captain Joe Root did not score much in the first innings as he was dismissed after scoring 31-ball 23 runs with three fours.

The second Test will be played in Multan from 9 to13 December at Multan, and the final Test will be played in Karachi from 17 to 21 December, 2022
