Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal has sharply criticized the Pakistan cricket team following their crushing 10-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in the first Test at Rawalpindi.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Akmal expressed his discontent with the team’s display, emphasizing that Pakistan's performance was far from acceptable.

"Had Rizwan not scored a 50 and kept the scoreboard ticking, you would have lost by an innings. This is such a humiliating defeat that it will not be forgotten. If you think poorly of others, bad things will happen to you too. You haven’t learned anything in the last 5 years," Akmal said.

Akmal also highlighted Pakistan's recent poor form, citing losses to Zimbabwe and exits from the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup.

You lost to Zimbabwe. Last year, you were eliminated from the Asia Cup. You were humiliated at the T20 World Cup. Made a complete mockery of Pakistan cricket," he further added.

Despite the challenges, Akmal praised Bangladesh for their resilience and performance.

"It was a difficult time for Bangladesh. They had to save the Test match. Not only did they save it, but they also won. They have completely exposed Pakistan's team," he noted.

Akmal was particularly scathing about the team’s attitude. He described the players’ demeanor as unprofessional.

"Our players were playing as if they were a club team. Even club batsmen don't play like that. Did you see the dressing room? Shoes off, legs crossed, and they're laughing. No worries at all. Why? Because there's no one to hold them accountable. They don't care about their performance. They're just playing for fun," he concluded.
