It was confirmed that comprehensive security measures will be implemented throughout the tournament. Security protocols are already in place, and relevant institutions are ensuring safety during the event. The area around the stadium and the routes leading to it will be decorated for the occasion. Additionally, special parking areas will be created, and a shuttle service will be available to transport visitors from the parking zones to the stadium.
Officials from the police, Rangers, and other agencies attended the meeting, providing detailed briefings on security and logistics. Key officials such as Additional Commissioner Ghulam Mehdi Shah, Deputy Commissioner East Abrar Jafar, Deputy Commissioner Malir Salimullah Odho, and Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Rabia Syed were present. Arshad Khan, the General Manager of the National Stadium and a representative from the Pakistan Cricket Board, briefed the attendees on the match schedule.
The eight-team tournament, featuring 15 matches, will take place from February 19 to March 9, across three venues in Pakistan – Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi – as well as Dubai. The tournament's groups are as follows: Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B consists of South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan, and England. The opening match will take place in Karachi on February 19, where Pakistan will face New Zealand.
Pakistan will host 10 matches, while Dubai will host four matches, including all three of India's group-stage matches and the first semi-final. If India does not qualify for the final, it will also take place in Pakistan.
