Islamabad United have made things tougher for Karachi Kings to sustain in the ongoing season of PSL 8 after sweeping them off on Friday at Pindi Cricket Stadium by six wickets.

While giving his analysis on a local talk show, former cricketer, Ramiz Raja, extended his appreciation towards Azam Khan but simultaneously took a dig at Karachi Kings’ shattering overall performance.

"Look, from this match, this is certain that when you are playing at home ground you can even attain a magnanimous 200 runs target - which happens to be true for Islamabad United as it was their home ground. On contrary, Karachi Kings have lost their self-belief as a team altogether, because their mind is stuck in a negative spiral due to continuous defeats and hence they weren't able to defend even 200," Raja said.

Raja added that Azam Khan played a terrific innings of 72 runs, which isn't everyone's cup of tea - particularly in the middle overs.

"Unfortunately, Karachi Kings have forgotten how to win – at least this is what I believe," he said.

"Islamabad United kept their nerves under control and tackled the pressure of a massive target on board. Azam Khan played a terrific innings which isn't everyone's cup of tea - particularly in the middle overs. He took the innings to the finishing line with full confidence that too against renowned international bowlers such as Tabraiz Shamsi, Andrew Tye, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim. This was a magnificient innings which will definitely create huge impact," he concluded.
