Karachi Kings will begin their PSL 10 campaign today, against Multan Sultans in their tournament opener
Karachi Kings have been dealt a significant setback ahead of their Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 opener, with key player Litton Das being ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
The Bangladesh batter, who was expected to play a vital role for the Kings, sustained a right thumb injury during a practice session. Further scans confirmed it to be a hairline fracture.
As a result, Litton has returned to Bangladesh to receive further treatment and assessment. His injury leaves a gap in the Karachi Kings lineup just before their tournament opener.
The Kings, led by Australian cricketer David Warner, are scheduled to play against Multan Sultans on Saturday night at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium.
Litton, 30, shared his disappointment on social media, confirming the injury and expressing his sadness about missing the tournament.
He said, "I was truly excited to play in the PSL for Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I picked up a finger injury. Scans revealed a hairline fracture, and recovery will take at least two weeks. So sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even began. I'm flying back to Bangladesh and seeking your prayers & love for a quick recovery. Wishing the very best of luck to my team Karachi Kings."
With PSL 10 underway, the Karachi Kings now face the challenge of finding a replacement for Litton. Team management is actively searching for a suitable player to fill the void left by the top-order batter, hoping to keep the team competitive and maintain their momentum in the tournament despite this early blow.
