The schedule will be revealed after confirming foreign players’ availability
The remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six will be played in June in Karachi.
The league was postponed after multiple Covid-19 cases on March 4.
The schedule will be revealed after confirming foreign players’ availability.
The franchises were insisting on holding the matches towards the end of March, by delaying the national team’s tour of South Africa, but that was ruled out after the host country refused to reschedule the series in such a short span of time.
“Pakistan Cricket Board and the Franchises, the PSL Governing Council, are aiming to reschedule the remaining 20 HBL Pakistan Super League 6 matches in June 2021 in Karachi. This was unanimously agreed by the six franchise owners and the PCB in a virtual meeting held on Thursday afternoon and after taking into consideration all factors relating to event organization,” the PCB said in a statement.
“June emerged as the most preferred and practical window due to Pakistan men’s national cricket team’s international commitments in March/April and late August/September,” the statement added.

The remaining 20 matches in June are now being planned following the men’s national cricket team’s return from Zimbabwe on May 13 and before their departure for England on June 26.
The PCB management will now look into the operational and logistical challenges and revert to the franchise owners and stakeholders.
