Kevin Pietersen names Pakistan among contenders for World Cup

Former England cricketer, Kevin Pietersen, has dubbed Pakistan as a 'threat' in the upcoming ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023.

Pietersen also named South Africa as a strong contender after their recent ODI series triumph over Australia. He also emphasized the significant contribution of batter Heinrich Klaasen to the team's strength.

Switching focus to the Indian cricket team, Pietersen highlighted that they remain the favorites, especially on their home turf, following their recent success in the 2023 Asia Cup.

The 43 year-old kept England just below India in terms of being favorites for the World Cup, emphasizing the depth of the English team.

Lastly, Pieterson acknowledged Australia as a team that will certainly be in contention for the title since they are a force to be reckoned with.
