Top-order batsman Shan Masood has started his HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) campaign with a wonderful batting display for Multan Sultans.

The 31-year-old has bagged two Player of the Match awards for scoring 83 and 88 against Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators respectively. Former Pakistan captain and coach Waqar Younis has called for his selection in the Pakistan side as he is maturing with the age.

"26, 83 and now 88, strike rate - 156 and it's just a start," Waqar tweeted.

"Averaged 30 with the strike rate of 146 last year’s PSL 'Knock Knock Selectors', maturing with the age," he added.

It must be noted that Shan is out of the side after he couldn't perform in the New Zealand Tests, however, he has not played a T20I yet and has only represented the Men in Green in five ODIs.
