Kotli Lions smashed their way to a monumental eight-wicket victory against the Overseas Warriors, chasing down a mammoth 212-run target, during their Kashmir Premier League (KPL) in Muzaffarabad on Friday.
Chasing a daunting target of 212 runs, the Lions got off to an explosive start as both openers took the attack to the opposition bowlers.
Opener Kamran Akmal smashed 60 runs off 35 balls before departing while opener Junaid Ali smashed 51 runs off 28 balls before returning back to the pavilion.
The efforts made by the openers did not go in vain as the next set of batsmen continued the momentum.
Batsman Ahsan Ali remained unbeaten after scoring 56 runs off 29 balls while batsman Asif Ali remained unbeaten after scoring 33 runs off 23 balls to lead their side to an emphatic eight-wicket victory with an over to spare.
Earlier, Overseas Warriors were off to a horrible start as they lost opener Naveed Malik (four off eight) at the start.

Opener Nasir Nawaz and explosive batsman Haider Ali then came together for a breezy partnership that laid a solid foundation for their side.
Haider Ali made a significant contribution with the bat scoring 62 runs off 38 balls while Nasir Nawaz made 66 runs off 44 balls.
Explosive batsman Azam Khan then continued the momentum with a 51-run knock off just 22 balls as wickets fell around him to lead his side to a daunting score of 211 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted overs.
Khurram Shahzad was the pick of the bowlers for his side picking up three wickets at the expense of 39 runs.
