A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday between the Express Media Group and the Muzaffarabad Tigers, which is a franchise of the Kashmir Premier League 2021, confirming the former as the official media partners of the team.
Cricket remains the most popular sport in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. The Kashmir Premier League has been initiated in order to promote the sport even further in the region.
The MoU was signed by the General Manager Marketing of Express News Syed Zakir Ali Babar and Muzaffarabad Tigers owner Arshad Khan Tanoli.
Chief Operating Officer (COO) Muzaffarabad Tigers Sajjad Khan and Manager Marketing Express News Saif Ullah were also present at the event.
Both sides reiterated their shared goals of promoting the Kashmir Premier League for the betterment of the sport in the region.

Muzaffarabad Tigers owner Arshad Khan was optimistic that the partnership would help the Kashmir Premier League in promoting the sport.
“This partnership will prove to be a great fit. Kashmir Premier League will shine the name of Kashmir throughout the world. Muzaffarabad Tigers will play our role in promoting the talent of the region. We have a deep relationship with the region. Great cricketers from Kashmir will come to the forefront because of this league,” Khan said.
Express News’ GM Marketing Zakir Ali stated that the partnership will prove beneficial for the sport.
“This partnership will prove beneficial for the promotion on the sport. Express Media Group will support Muzaffarabad Tigers on all fronts. We will try to promote the sport and the region all across the globe through the Kashmir Premier League,” Ali said.
The player draft for the league will take place on July 3, while the tournament will run from August 6-16, 2021, at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium.
