The Habib Bank Limited Pakistan Super League (HBL PSL) franchises are worried by the lack of communication from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) since the fourth edition of HBL PSL.

Four months have passed since the final of HBL PSL season four and PCB is yet to schedule a governing council meeting.

Franchise owners have reservations on several issues and want to discuss them with the PCB.

HBL PSL franchises hesitant to deposit bank guarantee for next season

To deal with this issue, a working committee has been formed to discuss franchises areas of concerns and draft six to seven recommendations mutually, which then will be presented and discussed in the next governing council meeting.

The working committee is comprised of one representative from each franchise and the PCB representative Imran Ahmed Khan.

According to sources, one of the major reservations of franchise owners is regarding the collection of bank guarantee for next season of HBL PSL by the PCB. In addition to this, only two to three franchises have received only a part of their share from the central revenue pool.

The working committee has already met once, in which franchise representatives shared their concerns.

The next meeting of governing council is expected to take place in August.
