List of records Abdullah Shafique broke against Sri Lanka

There is no denying that Abdullah Shafique has cemented his position as one of the most talented youngsters not only Pakistan has seen but also across the board.

The 22-year-old won the player of the match award as he led Pakistan to a historic victory at Galle.

The Cricket fraternity showered Shafique with praise for showcasing such maturity at such a young age. The opener fell cheaply in the first innings but made up for it in the following one where he remained unbeaten on 160 after facing more than 400 deliveries.

• Second-best average for any opener in Tests (min: 10 innings)
• Third-highest score by any batter in fourth-innings of a Test match before turning 23
