India secured their spot in the T20 World Cup 2024 final by defeating England in the second semi-final at Guyana's Providence Stadium on Thursday.

This marks India’s third appearance in a T20 World Cup final. The team previously won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 against Pakistan but lost the 2014 final to Sri Lanka.

In the upcoming final, India will face South Africa on Saturday at the iconic Kensington Oval in Barbados. Both teams have had an impressive tournament, remaining unbeaten throughout.

South Africa's bowling lineup has been particularly effective, and many believe they will pose a significant challenge for India. However, cricket analyst Sanjay Manjrekar is confident in India's ability to handle the South African bowlers, including both spinners and pacers.

Speaking on ESPNcricinfo’s Timeout, Manjrekar praised South Africa's bowling attack and their captain's strategic decisions.

“It is a very good bowling attack (South Africa’s) led by a captain who on the day will go to the bowler, who is likely to make more of an impact. So, yes India will be tested but I don’t see Indian batting having an issue because they have just found different players to come to terms with the challenge," Manjrekar said.

Manjrekar emphasized that India's strength lies in its depth, with different players stepping up when needed.

"If the usual suspects don’t get it somebody else comes and handles the situation. That is how India will play," he further added.

He also expressed concern about how the South African batters will perform in the final, noting that their performance could be the deciding factor in the match.

“The South African batting will be the major issue that will decide the fate of the match and the difference between the two sides,” he concluded.
