India’s former cricketer praised the diversity of shots in the arsenal of the wicketkeeper-batsman
India’s former cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar, in a tweet on Saturday, heaped praise on Pakistan’s ‘all-weather batsman’ Mohammad Rizwan after the wicketkeeper’s incredible unbeaten knock on day two of the second Test against England.
Rizwan, first, survived the English onslaught under cloud cover while the ball bounced and swung around considerably.
After the fall of prolific batsman Babar Azam, to an unplayable delivery from veteran bowler Stuart Broad, Rizwan upped the ante to score some quick runs which have helped Pakistan cross the 200-mark on a tricky Southampton pitch.

Manjrekar praised the diversity of shots in the arsenal of the wicketkeeper-batsman while calling him an ‘all-weather’ batsman.
“This Mohammad Rizwan can bat! He can drive well off the front foot and at the same time play the pull and the cut superbly. This makes him an ‘all-weather’ batsman. No wonder his top 3 scores in Tests so far have come in Australia and England,” Manjrekar said.
