New Zealand's opening batsman Martin Guptill has surpassed India's Rohit Sharma to become the highest run-scorer in T20Is.
The flamboyant batsman achieved this feat during the first T20I between England and Scotland in Edinburgh on Wednesday.
Martin Guptill scored a 31-ball 40 as the Black Caps posted a huge target of 225/5 batting first. In response, Scotland were restricted to 157/8 with Ish Sodhi claiming four wickets whereas Mitchell Satner sent two batters back to the pavilion.

Earlier this year, Rohit Sharma surpassed his countryman Virat Kohli to become the leading run-scorer. However, his record has now been snatched by the Kiwi batsman Guptill and now has 20 more runs than the Indian captain.
