New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry was ruled out of the Champions Trophy final against India due to a shoulder injury. The injury occurred during the semi-final match, and he was unable to recover in time for the big game.

Henry, who had been performing well throughout the tournament, was visibly emotional as he left the field before the toss. Playing in a final is a dream for every cricketer, and missing out on such a crucial match was a heartbreaking moment for him.

With Henry unavailable, New Zealand made a last-minute change to their playing XI, bringing in Nathan Smith as his replacement.

New Zealand's playing XI for the final includes Will Young, Rachin Ravindra, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham (wicketkeeper), Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner (captain), Kyle Jamieson, Will O’Rourke, and Nathan Smith.

The final match is being played between India and New Zealand. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and chose to bat first. In the semi-finals, New Zealand defeated South Africa, while India secured a win against Australia. India has retained the same playing XI from their semi-final victory.
