The Melbourne Stars have confirmed the return of the popular Pakistan fan zone at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) season 14.

This initiative aligns with the re-signing of Pakistan's talented spinner, Usama Mir, who will once again don the Stars’ jersey. Mir made his debut for the team last season, claiming five wickets in as many matches and winning over fans with his performances.

The fan zone, named "Pakistan Bay," will serve as a lively hub for supporters to gather, celebrate, and cheer for the Stars during their home games at the MCG. Memberships for the fan zone are now open for the first four home matches, scheduled on December 18, January 4, January 9, and January 19.

This effort is part of Cricket Australia’s (CA) Multicultural Action Plan, which focuses on inclusivity and creating memorable experiences for fans from diverse backgrounds. Similar fan zones were introduced during Pakistan’s white-ball series in Australia earlier this year, receiving an enthusiastic response from cricket lovers.

The Melbourne Stars will begin their BBL 14 campaign on December 15 with the season opener against the Perth Scorchers. The tournament will conclude with the final scheduled for January 27, 2025.
