Mickey Arthur has taken a jibe at former Pakistan head coach Misbahul Haq over the selection of Shan Masood, who is out of the national Test side despite performing well on overseas tours.

The 32-year-old was dropped from the side after his disappointing outing on the tour of New Zealand. He is currently knocking the doors as he has been in sublime touch, scoring 501 runs in seven innings at an average of 83.50 in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

While replying to a tweet where the user mentioned Shan's performances and how he was dropped during the tenure of Misbah, Arthur said that Shan will be having full support at Derbyshire.

Don't worry guys, Shan Masood is coming to a good home where he will be backed to the hilt and will make a massive contribution to our new journey," Arthur tweeted.

It must be noted that Arthur is now the head of club cricket at Derbyshire. He recently bid farewell to Sri Lanka as head coach after serving them for two years.
