Misbah-ul-Haq, the former captain and head coach of Pakistan cricket team, has identified young players, who he believes can help Pakistan win tournaments in the future.

While speaking to local reporters in Lahore, the former coach heaped praised on lanky pacer, Ihsanullah.

He also appreciated the batting skills of Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris, who have performed well in recent matches.

“Ihsanullah is the kind of bowler, who can win you series and tournaments. He can make a big impact. Whereas in batting, we have discovered Saim Ayub. [Mohammad] Haris has also given good performances,” said Misbah.

“The two players we have got in batting and bowling, if they continue to work hard, then they can do a lot for Pakistan in future,” he added.

Ihsanullah continued his rich vein of form and impressed with his bowling against Afghanistan, as he ended up being the highest wicket-taker in the series with six wickets.

Saim had two quiet games at the start of the aforementioned series, but played an impressive 49-run knock in the final T20I, to set a perfect platform for Pakistan to set a formidable target for Afghanistan. This impressive performance by Saim ultimately led to Pakistan's victory.
