He expressed worry about decisions being made without his input, especially emphasizing his concerns about the central contract, where his viewpoint was not taken into account
Misbah-ul-Haq, the ex-captain of Pakistan and the head of the PCB Cricket Committee, has asserted that he was not involved in selecting the ICC World Cup 2023 squad or determining central contracts.
While talking to media in Karachi on Monday, he expressed worry about decisions being made without his input, especially emphasizing his concerns about the central contract, where his viewpoint was not taken into account.
"I also have concerns about this. They decided previously with the team management. We also can't understand this decision and there is no input from us," Misbah said.
"I also have reservations about the central contract, it wasn't my input," he added.
Misbah argued that key members of specific formats should be placed in the top category of the central contract list.
"Key members of particular format should be in the top category of the central contract," he said.
"The composition of the team is the responsibility of the selection committee and management. The chairman has shown full support; inquiries should be directed to them," he added.
