Head coach-cum-chief selector is concerned with the team’s fitness standards
Pakistan’s head coach-cum-chief selector Misbahul Haq is concerned with the attitude of team’s players with regards to fitness standards.
According to sources, Misbah has laid great emphasis on proper training and discipline since taking charge of the side but some of the players don’t adhere to these rigid standards.
During a meeting with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Chief Executive, Wasim Khan, Misbah complained about the attitude of players in the side and their reluctance to put in the hard yards for improved fitness levels.

Pakistan recently suffered a humiliating whitewash against a depleted Sri Lanka in the three-game Twenty20 International (T20I) series at home, which was a major upset considering that the Men in Green are currently the top-ranked side in the shortest format of the game.
The team has faced criticism from all corners and things can go from bad to worse as Misbah is not too optimistic about side’s chances during the upcoming tour of Australia — which includes three T20Is followed by two Test matches.
Inorder to reduce the pressure on the side and avoid more criticism, Misbah is keen on giving some new faces a chance, during the T20Is against Australia, which could pave the path for players who have performed well during the ongoing National T20 Cup in Faisalabad.
