Pakistan's seasoned Test pacer Mohammad Abbas has expressed his thoughts on his cricketing journey and the current state of communication between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and its players.
In a recent interview with a local sports platform, Abbas shared insights into his career and challenges as a professional cricketer.
"I look at my stats, and I feel proud and grateful. Selection is not in my hands, and I can't do anything about it. As a human being, negativity also comes to your mind at times, and I feel if the communication between the board & players gets better, then our overall cricket will thrive," Abbas said.
It is worth noting that Abbas has a notable record in international cricket, having played 25 Tests and taken 90 wickets at an average of 23.02 and an economy rate of 2.42.
In his extensive first-class career spanning 175 matches, he has secured 689 wickets, including 44 five-wicket hauls, at an impressive average of 21.01 and an economy of 2.61. His most recent Test match was in 2021 against West Indies in Kingston.
