Pakistani fast bowler, Mohammad Abbas, demonstrated exceptional skill as he claimed six wickets for Hampshire during a County Championship match against Surrey on Tuesday at at London's Kennington Oval.

Abbas expertly utilized the conditions and displayed remarkable precision and control in his bowling. His capacity to swing the ball in both directions off the pitch posed a significant challenge for the Surrey batsmen.

Abbas picked up his first wicket in the 21st over of the innings, when he sent Rory Burns back to the pavilion at 45 - followed by Dom Sibley who was caught behind at 16 runs.

 

 

 

The next in the line who was victimized by vicious Pakistan pacer's spell was Ollie Pope at 91 runs.

The pressure continued till the end when Abbas took Tom Lawes and Kemar Roach both for LBW's at 0 and 5 respectively.

 

 

Daniel Worrall's wicket was the last and final one that completed a six-fer for Abbas and bowled out the opposition for 270. The pacer finished the first innings with spectacular figures of 6/64 in 27.5 overs.

This was Pakistani pacer’s 43rd five-wicket haul in first-class cricket, 11th five-wicket haul in county cricket and sixth five-wicket haul for Hampshire.

Last week, Abbas also picked a six wicket haul against Nottinghamshire. It was an excellent display of swing bowling from the Pakistani quick, who finished with figures of 6/49 in first innings and followed it up with three wickets in second innings.
