When it comes to bowlers, Amir named New Zealand's Trent Boult as his number one pick
Former Pakistan cricketer, Mohammad Amir, during a Q&A session on his YouTube channel on Sunday, revealed his current top three favorite batters and bowlers.
"Virat [Kohli], Babar is my favourite apart from T20s. He is my favourite in Tests and ODIs. Finally, Shubman Gill, as I feel he will be the next big thing for India in future, if he maintain his current form," Amir said.
When it comes to bowlers, Amir named New Zealand's Trent Boult as his number one pick.
"[Trent] Boult, he is number one for me, then Naseem Shah. These are bowlers, who I feel are complete bowlers and can play all formats. And third would be Mitchell Starc," he added.
Furthermore, Amir revealed that his favorite coach is Mickey Arthur. Having worked with Arthur during his tenure as the head coach of the Pakistan national team, Amir appreciates his coaching style and the positive impact he had on his career.
Amir expressed his belief that Pakistan would be among the top four teams in the upcoming 2023 World Cup in India. He emphasized that Pakistan should never be underestimated, especially in the Asian conditions.
He also predicted a potential India-Pakistan final in the upcoming mega event.
"Pakistan will be in top four and you can't write them off in Asian conditions," he said.
