The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced changes in the Pakistan Test squad after Mohammad Nawaz was ruled out of the series due to a foot injury.

Nawaz was ruled out of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) after he picked up the injury and he was left out of the side in order to heal in time. However, his injury has now forced him out of the tournament. His replacement will be announced later by the national board.

In addition to that, Naseem Shah and Sarfaraz Ahmed have now been added as traveling reserves.

The PCB press release stated that, "they [Naseem and Sarfaraz] will only be considered for selection if there is an injury."

Furthermore, young Peshawar Zalmi star Mohammad Haris has also been added as a reserve player.

"However, he, along with Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Abbas and Yasir Shah have been advised to participate in the Pakistan Cup, which commences on March 2. If required, they will be drafted into the side," the PCB statement read.

The PCB informed that players who were part of the training camp in Karachi will be arriving in Islamabad to observe a three-day room isolation. They will be attending a training session on February 27.
