Wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan is set to undergo a precautionary MRI today after suffering a strain in his right leg against India.

The right-handed opening batter made an impactful 71 off 51 deliveries against India, which set up the Men in Green to deliver a devastating blow to their arch-rivals as they registered a 5-wicket victory.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Rizwan suffered the strain after he made a risky landing on his right leg while he was behind the stumps. The MRI will act as a precaution since the player continued despite the injury and score a fantastic 71-run knock.

The wicketkeeper-batsman hit six boundaries and struck two maximums before being dismissed by Hardik Pandya.

Pakistan, who were beaten in the opening tie against India, have gotten their revenge as they head into the crucial stage of the tournament.

There is a chance that India and Pakistan will both meet again in the final. Irrespective of whether that happens or not, Pakistan need Mohammad Rizwan back to full fitness as he is an integral part of the Pakistan set up.
