Speaking at an event in Lahore, Yousuf expressed his appreciation for the national cricket team and their performances in the T20 World Cup and the recently concluded Bangladesh series
Former Pakistan legendary batsman Mohammad Yousuf has welcomed the continuation of the performances of the Pakistan cricket team following a solid T20 World Cup campaign.
Speaking to the media after attending a ceremony organised by the NAB in Lahore, Yousuf said that the team's performances have improved drastically since the mega event.
"The mega-events are often joined by 12 or 14 teams but there can always be one winner at the end of the day. Even though Pakistan fell short but they should be proud of themselves because of the performances they delivered," said the 47-year-old.
Talking about the recently concluded Test series against Bangladesh, Yousuf admired the aggression that was shown by the Pakistan cricket team after declaring in the first innings to force a result.
"Despite almost three days being wasted due to rain in Dhaka Test, Pakistan team still managed to force a result and it was hugely impressive because of the manner in which the victory was registered," said Yousuf.
