Moin expressed disappointment over how modern-day players interact with their Indian counterparts
Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan has questioned the national team's approach against India, calling their overly friendly behavior on the field "unfathomable" and a "sign of weakness."
Speaking on a local show, Moin expressed disappointment over how modern-day players interact with their Indian counterparts.
“I just don’t get it when I watch Pakistan and India matches these days, as Indian players come into the crease, our players check their bats, pat them, have a friendly talk," he said.
He stressed the need to maintain "certain boundaries" as professionals, adding that their seniors had always advised them to remain focused and avoid unnecessary interactions.
“When you get friendly, they see it as a sign of weakness," he added, believing that such behavior could put players under pressure.
Moin, who played 69 Tests and 219 ODIs, also shared that one of his biggest regrets was not being able to beat India in a World Cup match.
It is worth noting that the much-anticipated Pakistan vs. India clash in the Champions Trophy is set for February 23 in Dubai. Pakistan will enter the tournament as defending champions.
