Multan Sultans have made a change to their squad for the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, with Ireland’s Curtis Campher replacing West Indies’ Gudakesh Motie.

The franchise confirmed the move on Monday, although the exact reason for the change was not disclosed. Media reports suggest that Motie had to leave for Guyana due to a personal matter, leading to his replacement by Campher.

"New name on the roster! Welcome to the Sultans squad, Curtis Campher," the Sultans announced on social media, sharing an animated poster of the Irish all-rounder.

Campher, a fast-bowling all-rounder, has represented Ireland in seven Tests, 43 ODIs, and 61 T20Is. He has limited experience in franchise cricket, having only played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) with Chattogram Challengers. In his two seasons there, Campher scored 128 runs in nine innings at an average of 18.28 and took nine wickets in 10 innings, with the best bowling figures of 4/20.

The Sultans have had a tough start to PSL 10. Despite appearing in four consecutive PSL finals, including their title victory in 2021, they are currently at the bottom of the standings, having lost all three of their matches so far.

Their next match is against two-time champions Lahore Qalandars, scheduled for today, Tuesday, April 22.
