Multan Sultans have confirmed that Australian middle-order batter Ashton Turner will replace injured West Indies batter Johnson Charles in their squad for the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10.

Turner was officially approved as a replacement by the PSL technical committee and is expected to join the team next week in Rawalpindi.

The right-handed batter brings with him plenty of experience from various T20 leagues around the world. He was in fine form during the recent Big Bash League (BBL) season, scoring 240 runs for Perth Scorchers at an impressive strike rate of 147.

Turner also played a key role in helping the Scorchers win their first-ever BBL title in 2022, when he smashed 357 runs at a strike rate of nearly 154.

Meanwhile, Johnson Charles has been ruled out of the tournament as he continues his rehabilitation under the care of Cricket West Indies (CWI). Due to his unavailability, Multan Sultans were allowed to bring in a replacement.

Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans is currently playing their PSL 10 opener against the 2020 champions Karachi Kings at the National Bank Stadium.
