Ali Jahangir Tareen, the owner of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans, has shared troubling news about fast bowler Ihsanullah, who has struggled with an elbow injury.

During an interview, Tareen revealed that Ihsanullah may not be able to regain his former pace and bowling style due to complications from a previous surgery. The young pacer had made headlines during PSL 2023, taking 22 wickets and bowling at speeds of 150 km/h, but has since faced challenges following his injury.

"We consulted a top surgeon, who gave us the unfortunate news that Ihsanullah’s arm cannot straighten completely because of scarring from a botched earlier surgery. This means he will not be able to bowl as he once did," Tareen said.

The Multan Sultans’ owner added, "It’s devastating that one mistake has impacted such a talented player’s career. While he still bowls at 130-135 km/h, he was once our 155 km/h bowler."

Ihsanullah recently returned to action in the Champions T20 Cup, taking two wickets in four matches. However, his recovery journey has been challenging, as he had been out of action since April 2023 after suffering an elbow injury during the ODI series against New Zealand.

The pacer has played one ODI and four T20Is for Pakistan, and his future in international cricket remains uncertain as he works to adapt to his limitations.
