Peshawar Zalmi’s dynamic batsman, Haseebullah Khan, opened up about Baluchistan's dearth of cricketing resources.

While giving a post-match interview on Wednesday, the 18-year-old, who hails from Pishin, conferred from where he adapted a rather belligerent batting approach. He also conversed about the struggles a native Baluchistan cricketer has to face in order to pursue their cricketing career.

"I enjoy watching Saeed Anwar's batting and his aggressive style. We don't have many facilities at home so my father bowls to me himself. I have set up my own net at home where I play cricket, and he bowls to me for practice," Haseebullah said.

"I always had a passion for cricket since I was young when I was in school. I joined a club and used to carry drinks there for 4-5 years. I would be really happy even if I just got a chance to field," he added.

After Karachi Kings’ Mohammad Amir had destroyed the Peshawar Zalmi top order in 2.2 overs on Wednesday, a valiant half-century by Haseebullah, the HBL PSL rookie, gave the team hopes that they can mount a comeback.

Haseebullah played a crucial role in helping Peshawar Zalmi's comeback as the wicketkeeper added 82 runs for the third wicket with Kohler-Cadmore. His brilliant 50 off 29 was laced with four fours and three sixes, which played a key role in Zalmi beating Kings.
