According to sources, Naseem has a minor injury but the management has decided to rest him inorder to avoid aggravating the injury.

Pakistan will also play three T20I matches against Zimbabwe and it remains to be seen whether Naseem will be fielded for those matches.

Pakistan will be touring New Zealand after the Zimbabwe series, hence the management wants Naseem to be at his peak fitness for the tour.
