The Pakistan Test cricket team has announced its playing XI for the second Test match against South Africa, making one change to the squad.

In the match set to be played in Cape Town, fast bowler Naseem Shah has been replaced by Mir Hamza in the playing XI.

The Pakistan squad, led by captain Shan Masood, includes Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan. Other players in the lineup are Saud Shakeel, Salman Ali Agha, Aamer Jamal, Mir Hamza, Khurram Shehzad, and Mohammad Abbas.

In the first Test match played in Centurion, South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first. Pakistan could only manage 211 runs, while the South African team scored 301 runs, gaining a 90-run lead. In their second innings, Pakistan managed only 237 runs, and South Africa chased down the target with a narrow 2-wicket victory on the fourth day.

After the loss in the first Test, Pakistan's captain Shan Masood expressed that the team had fought well against South Africa but failed to seize control of the match. He emphasized the need for the team to learn how to turn such situations in their favor in similar conditions.
