Right-arm pacer acknowledged that the Rawalpindi pitch is more suitable for batters
Naseem Shah expressed his optimism about his team's preparations for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, starting from Thursday at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
In a recent interview with a local news channel, Shah stated that the team was moving in the right direction in terms of their preparations for the series.
“Our preparations are heading in the right direction for the ODI series,” Naseem said.
“In Tests and ODIs, you have to work hard to take wickets but in T20Is sometimes you can get lucky as batter can get caught while trying to clear the boundary,” he added.
Shah acknowledged that the Rawalpindi pitch is more suitable for batters, but said that he and his fellow bowlers are determined to adapt and are capable of rising to the occasion and performing at the highest level
“The pitch in Rawalpindi is conducive for batters but as bowlers will try to adapt and try to perform to the best of our ability,” he said.
“We have an excellent bowling attack and players learn from each other. They are all young and eager to do well,” he concluded.
