Australia's ace spinner Nathan Lyon is excited to play in Pakistan as he shares his experience about how he feels coming to the country for the first time.

Australia landed in Pakistan on Sunday and took part in the first training session yesterday after completing one day of isolation.

Lyon, who has 415 wickets in Test cricket, appreciated the hospitality of Pakistan and said that he feels extremely safe. The 34-year-old added the Aussies are looking forward to winning 3-0 against Pakistan.

"My mindset is to come here to Pakistan and win 3-0," says Lyon in an online presser earlier today.

"Rawalpindi Test will be challenging for Australia but we're preparing well. The pitch for Rawalpindi Test looks similar to UAE. It may help fast bowlers in the first two days and later spinners. After that, spin and reverse swing will come into play," he added.

Lyon also praised Pakistan batters and is looking forward to bowling to Babar Azam. He rated him as one of the best in the world.

"I am always looking forward to bowling to the best players in the world, and Babar Azam is one of them, Pakistan team has some amazing batsman, and I will take it as a challenge," he added.

"Australia tour to Pakistan is important for cricket fans in Pakistan. We're feeling extremely secure in Pakistan. The hotel staff is taking care of us very well. The hospitality in Pakistan is simply amazing. We're enjoying every moment in Pakistan to our fullest," he maintained.

Lyon believes that the Australia tour of Pakistan will be fruitful for world cricket.

"It is a proud moment for Australia touring Pakistan. Unfortunately, international cricket was suspended in Pakistan for a decade. Australia's tour will not only be beneficial for Pakistan but for world cricket too. Australian cricketers can be role models for cricket fans in Pakistan," he added.

Lyon has a decent record in sub-continent conditions. He has picked up 95 wickets in 37 innings in Asia. Although he has the worst bowling average against Pakistan as compared to other teams, he is ready for the challenge and is confident of performing well.

The first Test will start from March 4 in Rawalpindi.
