Preparations at the National Stadium for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy are moving forward, with two major announcements expected in the next 48 hours. The finishing touches on the new under-construction building are nearing completion, with the work being carried out around the clock.
One of the key updates is that the installation of modern LED lights on five of the six poles in the stadium has been completed. As soon as the wiring is finished, the artificial lights will be switched on within the next 48 hours. Additionally, two large digital screens, coming from Shanghai, China via Dubai, have arrived at the stadium. These screens will be installed under the supervision of American experts in the coming days. The 80 by 30-foot screen will be positioned in front of the Wasim Akram Enclosure, while the 20 by 30-foot screen will be installed in front of the Intikhab Alam Enclosure. The platforms for both screens have already been prepared.
Furthermore, the construction of a pedestrian bridge for spectators walking to the stadium is also underway. This bridge, being built on Sir Suleman Shah Road near the PSB Coaching Centre, is expected to be completed within the next ten days.
