The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made a decision regarding the appointment of a new team manager along with the captain and coaching staff.

According to reliable sources, Naveed Akram Cheema is slated to assume the role of team manager, succeeding Rehan ul Haq, specifically for the upcoming tour to Australia.

During Najam Sethi's tenure as PCB chief, when Mickey Arthur was appointed as the team director, the responsibilities of the team manager were given to Rehan ul Haq at that time.

Cheema, known for his stringent adherence to discipline, has previously served as the manager of the Pakistan cricket team for extended periods, demonstrating exemplary discipline during his tenures.

Now, once again, he is being sent to Australia as the manager to improve team discipline. He will oversee matters as a manager in the upcoming series, including the T20I series against New Zealand.

A formal notification of his appointment is expected to be issued imminently by the PCB.
