Pakistan are currently facing the Netherlands in a three-match ODI series and leads the series 1-0. However, despite scoring 314 runs, Pakistan only narrowly registered a victory by 16 runs.

The situation prompted a reaction out of the Pakistan camp, which meant that Pakistan couldn't rest the players which is a trend that is followed by many cricketing nations to preserve their top players after securing a lead in the series against lesser oppositions.

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez identified the pattern and shared his thoughts on Twitter.

"Full available squad of @TheRealPCB vs @KNCBcricket rank no 14 in ODI. Full credit to @KNCBcricket to play competitive & aggressive cricket in 1st ODI match to put pressure on team management to go with full squad again in the 2nd ODI. Interesting," wrote Hafeez on Twitter.

Netherlands won the toss in the second ODI and opted to bat first. It is worth mentioning that this series is part of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League and holds a significant value for the Men in Green.
