The New Zealand men's cricket team has arrived in Islamabad, gearing up for an exciting five-match T20I series against Pakistan, starting from April 18.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the Kiwis' arrival with a warm welcome on X (formerly known as Twitter): "Welcome to Pakistan, @BLACKCS!"

The series serves as a crucial phase for both teams to fine-tune their squads and finalize their player selections for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled to take place in the USA and West Indies. 

On 9th April, The national men’s selection committee announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand.

The selection committee emphasized that they had kept players well-informed about the selection criteria, including rotation policies and the integration of new talents.

Pakistan squad:

Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Azam Khan (wk), Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Amir, Abbas Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Irfan Khan Niazi, Usama Mir, Zaman Khan
