England opener Ben Duckett had a phenomenal year, scoring 1,149 runs in 32 innings. Known for his adaptability, Duckett consistently provided his team with strong starts in challenging conditions.
India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah made a spectacular comeback to Test cricket, taking 71 wickets in 13 matches. His ability to deliver breakthroughs at crucial moments was instrumental in India’s success.
New Zealand's Matt Henry was another standout performer with the ball, claiming 48 wickets in 9 matches. His control and precision troubled batters across all conditions, making him a vital member of his team.
Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his meteoric rise in Test cricket, scoring an impressive 1,478 runs in 29 innings. The young opener showcased a mix of aggression and maturity, cementing his place at the top of the order.
Kane Williamson remained the backbone of New Zealand’s batting lineup, amassing 1,013 runs in 18 innings. His calm demeanor and ability to perform under pressure were invaluable for his side.
Joe Root enjoyed another stellar year, accumulating over 1,500 runs in 31 innings. The former England captain's consistency and knack for producing match-winning knocks made him one of the standout batters of 2024.
Harry Brook continued to make waves with the bat, scoring 1,100 runs in 20 innings. His aggressive style of play and ability to dominate bowling attacks earned him a spot in the XI.
Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis impressed with the bat as well, scoring 1,049 runs in 16 innings. His contributions were critical in Sri Lanka's successes during the year.
Jamie Smith, the wicketkeeper-batter, showed exceptional skill behind the stumps and with the bat. He scored 637 runs in 15 innings and effected 32 dismissals, proving to be a reliable presence for his team.
India’s Ravindra Jadeja demonstrated his all-round brilliance, scoring 527 runs and taking 48 wickets in 12 matches. His ability to impact the game with both bat and ball solidified his position as one of the premier all-rounders in the format.
Pat Cummins, the captain of the team, led from the front, taking 37 wickets in 9 matches and contributing 306 runs. His leadership and performance were pivotal in Australia’s dominance in the format.
