No Pakistan player in top-10 list of highest run-scorers in Asia Cup

The Asia Cup 2022 is set to kick off on August 27 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and all the participating teams are gearing up to give each other a tough competition.

India leads the most Asia Cup tournament wins with seven out of their 13 appearances, six of the titles have come in ODI format whereas the seventh title was won in T20I format.

When it comes to run-scoring ability, no Pakistan player features in the top-ten list in T20 Asia Cup. In addition, only two players hailing from India are included in the list.

Here is the complete list of top-ten run-scorers in the Asia Cup:

1. Babar Hayat — Hong Kong — 194 runs
2. Sabbir Rahman — Bangladesh — 176 runs
3. Muhammad Usman — UAE — 176 runs
4. Virat Kohli — India — 153 runs
5. Shaiman Anwar — UAE — 151 runs
6. Dinesh Chandimal — Sri Lanka — 149 runs
7. Rohit Sharma — India — 138 runs
8. Tillakaratne Dilshan — Sri Lanka — 132 runs
9. Mohammad Shehzad — UAE — 129 runs
10. Rohan Mustafa — UAE — 122 runs

The only Pakistan player close to the top-ten list is former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed with 121 runs as he sits 11th on the list. The middle-order batter amassed 121 runs in four innings with a best of 58 and a strike rate of 130.10.
