The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has brushed aside rumours of rift within the team, after an audio clip went viral on social media regarding the matter.

According to details, an audio clip from a Pakistani actor named Raju Jamil was circulating on social media where he made astonishing claims about rift between Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik.

The actor added that Malik has allegedly formed a group in the tem, comprising of Imad Wasim, Imamul Haq, Babar Azam and Asif Ali. He also said that this group of players are looking to ensure that all-rounder Wasim is made the captain of the side. instead of Sarfaraz.

The PCB in its statement has said that it will take legal action against Jamil for making such baseless accusations.

The Pakistan team is currently preparing for its all-important clash against arch-rivals India, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 16 at Old Trafford in Manchester.
