Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, displayed his adeptness in diplomacy when presented with the task of selecting the more challenging bowler between Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi and Australia's Mitchell Starc.

Sharma refused to be drawn into the dilemma and instead hailed Afridi and Starc as equally potent threats on the cricket field.

He praised the capabilities of both bowlers, emphasizing that they both are formidable adversaries in their respective capacities.

"NONE.... Both are quality, quite threatening with the new ball, can swing the ball quite fast, so I would say none," he said.

Previously, Rohit opened up about facing arch-rivals, Pakistan, in the upcoming 2023 Asia Cup, starting from August 30.

The 36-year-old acknowledged the inherent challenges of facing Pakistan, highlighting the difficulties in both securing a victory against them and engaging in the matches themselves.

Speaking to Star Sports, he emphasized the substantial efforts required from his team to navigate these encounters.

“When you play against Pakistan, it’s always challenging, to beat them, and to play against them, we have to do a whole lot,” Sharma said.
