Pakistan’s young pacer, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, has a game plan ready for Australia as he aims to use slower deliveries to his advantage in the upcoming T20 series. With a three-match T20I series set to run from November 14 to 18, Abbas is focused on using his bowling variations to make an impact.

"I have a plan to tackle the opposition. I will target them with slower ones," Abbas said.

Abbas, who is currently training in Karachi with the Pakistan T20 squad, mentioned that the five-day training camp at the National Bank Stadium is helping him and his teammates sharpen their skills. Reflecting on his experience of playing in Australia with the Pakistan Shaheens, he acknowledged the challenges the conditions present but is hopeful that his past experience will be beneficial.

“The conditions in Australia are very difficult, but [we] have played there and have some experience," he noted.

Abbas also praised Pakistan’s new white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, noting how supportive he is toward younger players, even if they struggle on the field.

“Mohammad Rizwan always supports the youngsters. Even if a bowler concedes runs, he backs him,” he shared.

In addition to his bowling, Abbas revealed he is working hard on his batting, with hopes of becoming a reliable all-rounder for Pakistan.

"I like to bat since the beginning. I am working on it. I am trying to become a good all-rounder," he added.

Pakistan’s white-ball tour of Australia will start with an ODI series from November 4 to 10, followed by the T20 series, scheduled from November 14 to 18.
