Haris spoke highly of Maxwell, calling him a “legend” and a “superstar.”
Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf shared his excitement after dismissing Australian batter Glenn Maxwell in all three games of the recently concluded ODI series in Australia. Rauf, who took 10 wickets across the three matches at an impressive average of 12, was named Player of the Series for his outstanding performance.
In the first ODI, Haris removed Maxwell for a golden duck with a well-placed length delivery that sharply swung to produce an edge. In the second game, Haris bowled a shorter ball outside the off stump, which Maxwell mishit onto his stumps while attempting a leg-side shot. In the series decider, Haris bowled yet another quick delivery, forcing a leading edge and dismissing Maxwell once more without any runs.
Reflecting on his performance, Haris spoke highly of Maxwell, calling him a “legend” and a “superstar.” He humbly added, "I was lucky to get him three times in a row."
Haris also highlighted the significance of this series win for Pakistan. “This series was very important for Pakistan because of the struggles in the last couple of months. We thought of winning when we landed here as the nation needed it,” he said.
This series marked Pakistan’s first series victory on Australian soil in any format since 2002, making it a memorable achievement for the team and their fans.
