WATCH: Michael Vaughan names his top three Pakistan batters of all time

Pakistan team sealed a historic series win against Australia, defeating the hosts 2-1 in a thrilling ODI series. This victory marks the first time Pakistan has won a series in Australia in 22 years.

The final ODI at Perth Stadium witnessed a dominant performance by Pakistan, who restricted the Australian team to just 140 runs. With the target in sight, the visitors chased it down with ease, clinching the win with eight wickets to spare and 23.1 overs remaining. Haris Rauf was the star with the ball, picking up two crucial wickets in the early overs, setting the tone for Pakistan's dominance. In the chase, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten on 28 and 30, respectively, guiding their team to a comfortable victory.

As celebrations continued in the studio, former England captain Michael Vaughan and former Australian batter Adam Gilchrist took to analysing Pakistan’s best-ever batters. Vaughan, reflecting on the country's rich cricketing history, revealed his top three Pakistani batsmen of all time.

Vaughan placed Babar Azam in the number three spot, praising the modern-day batter for his consistent performances across all formats.

"I am going to go with a modern-day player, a modern-day asset. Just lost his place in the Test team, but I’m sure he’ll get it back. He is world-class across all formats," Vaughan said. "His average is 47 across those formats, and in ODIs, he’s nearly averaging 57."

For the number two spot, the former England captain selected the great Inzamam ul Haq, highlighting his skill across all formats.

"The Big Inzy... you get him across all formats. He didn’t rely on running between wickets. He didn’t need to because he could just whack it out of the ground," he said.

Vaughan’s top pick was the legendary Javed Miandad, widely regarded as one of the greatest competitors in cricket history. "I had this player in my top three Pakistan players of all time two nights ago - Javed Miandad. What a player! Just a wonderful competitor! Back in the 80s, skill and ferocity. He was probably the first I ever saw who swept the ball brilliantly across all formats," Vaughan said, paying tribute to Miandad's skill and impact on the game.
