Pakistan's fast bowler Naseem Shah has said that the team’s focus will be on finishing the second ODI against Australia with a victory. Reflecting on their near win in the first ODI, Naseem mentioned that while they were close to securing the win, the loss provided valuable lessons.

Speaking to the media in Adelaide, Naseem said, "We were very close to winning the first ODI, but the defeat has taught us a lot. Our aim now is to win the second ODI and level the series." He added that after the first match, the team discussed areas where improvements could be made, and they are confident the pitch at Adelaide will offer good conditions for positive cricket.

Naseem also addressed the issue of cramps that affected his performance in the previous match. He explained, "Even though I am fully fit, cramps can happen to anyone, including batsmen. They can occur at any time during the match." He further clarified that cramps typically don’t take much time to recover from, but during the first ODI, he was unable to complete his overs due to the cramps occurring at a critical moment.

The fast bowler confirmed that after taking some rest, he has fully recovered from the cramps and has been bowling for the past two days.

The second ODI between Pakistan and Australia will take place tomorrow in Adelaide, while the third and final ODI of the series is scheduled for Sunday in Perth.

In the first ODI, played in Melbourne, Australia narrowly defeated Pakistan by 2 wickets while chasing a target of 204 runs.
