Opening batter Ahmed Shehzad has expressed his frustration and disappointment after Pakistan's defeat against Australia in the second T20I match at Sydney on Saturday.

Taking to the social media platform 'X', Shehzad shared his thoughts, criticizing Pakistan's poor performance, particularly in the early overs.

"No boundaries in the first 10 overs and you think about winning a game? We are still stuck in the past. Embarrassing performance by Pakistan against the current Australian side," Shehzad posted. He further highlighted some individual performances, praising the efforts of youngsters Irfan and Usman, as well as the bowlers Sufiyan and Haris.

However, Shehzad also called for a change in Pakistan's top order, expressing his frustration with the team's performance. "16 on 26, Rizwan as a captain, you cannot afford to do that. We need a change in our top order. It's tough to be a bowler in this Pakistan side. Another loss for Pakistan," he added.

Australia, defending a modest total of 148, bowled Pakistan out for 134, sealing a comfortable victory. Spencer Johnson was the star for Australia, claiming a sensational 5 wickets for 24 runs, playing a pivotal role in their win. Despite a valiant 52 from Usman Khan, Pakistan struggled to build partnerships, and early wickets—including Babar Azam's dismissal for just 3—left them in a challenging position.

For Australia, Glenn Maxwell (21) and Matthew Short (32) were the top scorers, while Pakistan's Haris Rauf impressed with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 22 runs. However, it wasn't enough to prevent Australia from clinching the victory.

With the series already decided, both teams will now look ahead to the final match in Hobart on November 18, 2024, as Pakistan aims to salvage some pride and avoid a whitewash.
